Creative focus

Since graduating from Roehampton University in 2016 with a first-class master’s degree in Dramatherapy, all areas of my work have benefitted from a trauma-informed approach and subsequent performance work has been focused on the "use of self" in the creative process.  My therapeutic theatre performance and workshop piece, "Return to Life" is grounded in my own personal exploration of inherited, second-generation family trauma from wartime displacement and genocide. The project uses theatrical devices to explore loss and grief. The post-show workshop allows audiences to respond creatively, exploring how traumatic stress can transform and initiate growth through creative expression, collaborative work, and the act of witnessing.
